Life and Work

A charter member of the Donalda and District Museum, she spends many hours welcoming and guiding guests through the museum. She cared for a boy with cerebal palsy for several years and worked with homecare and the Evangelical Lutheran Church Women.

She cooked at church camp and outdoor lab camp and taught Sunday School for many years. Esther has been a member of the Spruce Coulee Ladies' Aid Society for the past fifty years.

A Stephen Minister, she provided one-to-one care for people who are in crisis, and a member of Action for Life (a pro-life support group), Esther also volunteers at the Superfluity shop in Stettler.

Letter of Appreciation

I have known her for 30 years and from the start she's been a thoughtful neighbour and good friend ... a comfort in bad times and sharing in the good. She welcomed me into her big family... best of all I like her infectious laugh.
