Karsen was born into chuckwagon racing. He is a third generation driver, travelling all summer with his papa Jack Stott, Aunts Tracey and Lori and Uncle John. Karsen's dad, Jonathan BigCharles and mom Karen were also racers. Sisters Savanah and Jayda will be looking up to him as they want to race in the future as well. In 2018, Karsen was the rookie chariot driver and in 2019 the rookie wagon driver. In the winter, Karsen plays hockey.
