I'm sure we have a photo somewhere!
Lucy Barnett
Lacombe
Description
Life and Work
Lucy Barnett, an actress, was the only white woman to come to Lacombe prior to the completion of the Calgary-Edmonton railway. Her elopement with Jim Barnett caused quite a stir in the Barnett family. She is remembered as going to town in a Persian lamb coat and driving a two-wheeled buggy and trotting horse when others were lucky to have a wagon team. She was the envy of all the other wives in Lacombe.
