We received an email from the Pioneer Churches on the Prairies. They will be at the Pysanka Festival in Vegreville this weekend (July 5-7, 2024)! Here's what they had to say:


The Pioneer Churches on the Prairies project will be having a display at the Pysanka Festival of our large canvas prints, photographs and cards of historic churches established by early settlers in northeastern Alberta.

Our booth will be in the Folk Arts Building at the Pysanka Festival held on the Vegreville Agricultural Society Fair Grounds on July 5, 6 and 7, 2024. The hours are Friday 12 - 8 pm; Saturday 10 - 8 pm; and Sunday 10 - 4 pm.

We are excited to announce the creation of our newest website – Musica Ukraina: Ukrainian Music Museum. We will be transferring the digitized music from our Pioneer Churches website to this new site over the next several months.

In addition, we have developed processes to "restore" old 78 RPM records to a decent listenable quality. See our Oldies section to listen to Ukrainian music that was recorded nearly 100 years ago. We have acquired a substantial collection of these old records. These will be digitized, restored on posted on the Musica Ukraina site.
