Alberta Sports Hall of FameThe Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is devoted to preserving and honouring Alberta’s greatest athletes, builders, and media.
As the keepers, protectors, interpreters, and exhibitors of memorabilia, we promote better understanding of our sporting heritage and foster dialogue, curiosity, and self-reflection throughout the Province of Alberta. Further, we serve to help future generations comprehend their history and recognize the achievements of those who came before them.
We are in Red Deer on the Queen Elizabeth II Highway just north of the 32 Street overpass.
- When Sports Stopped - This new exhibition examines the effects global events from the Spanish Flu through both World Wars and right up to COVID had on sports. This exhibit highlights multiple past occurrences where international events have brought a stop to sport.
- History of Alberta Track & Field.
- Ski Ballet.
- Virtual Education Programs - With COVID-19 continuing, we have taken steps to offer our education programs virtually and at no cost to encourage teachers and parents to encourage their students or children to see their world differently, encourage critical thinking, and open doors to achieving their hopes and dreams.
