Caroline Wheels of Time Museum
The Caroline Museum & Historical Village is operated by the Caroline and District Historical Society, founded in 1991. With dedicated volunteers, the Society is committed to preserving the history of Caroline through artifacts, photographs, historic buildings, oral histories, and archival materials. We serve as custodians, researchers, and presenters of Caroline’s growth and heritage since the late 1800s. We strive to engage and educate our visitors about the history of Caroline and district.See how Caroline got its name. Bring a camera and have your picture taken with a life-sized image of Kurt Browning, world-famous figure skating champion. Visit the two-storey early log home, the trapper's cabin, the one-room country school, and teacherage. Observe and solve the mystery of "the Tree". View the map of the early cart trails. Take a walk along our nature trail. Bring a picnic lunch and come stroll back in time.....
A new attraction to the site is a replica of the first Village Office with an adjoining Fire Hall. Located in the Fire Hall are an 1892 fire wagon, the first fire truck, and the first authentic jail.
