Welcome to the Sundre & District Museum, where the past meets the present in a captivating journey through time. Step into our historic pioneer village, a charming enclave nestled amidst four acres of beautiful greenspace and gardens. Here, eight quaint heritage buildings stand as testaments to the resilience and ingenuity of early settlers, painting a vivid picture of life on the frontier. In our main gallery, discover ever-changing exhibits that showcase the diverse cultures and communities that have shaped Sundre into the vibrant town it is today. From the struggles of early pioneers to the triumphs of modern-day residents, each display offers a glimpse into the town's rich tapestry of history. For nature enthusiasts, our World of Wildlife awaits, this permanent natural science exhibit, boasts over 170 astonishing animal mounts from around the world. Marvel at the beauty and diversity of nature as you wander through this amazing showcase of the natural world. Located in the heart of Sundre's historic downtown Riverside District, our museum invites you to stroll through time and reconnect with the essence of our heritage. Hours and Admission:

If you are travelling, please call ahead.  Especially in the winter, please call the museum to ensure our rural museum has not been closed due to unexpected staffing or weather issues.  Likewise, special events may have the museum open on a Sunday or Monday.  A phone call is always helpful, so you don’t miss out!  Thank you.

Note: Pioneer Village is open seasonally May thru October.
